We might be back in lockdown, but Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler have teamed up to bring us more wonderful pictures in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The duo previously collaborated to produce images of their beloved characters dealing with social distancing, toilet roll shortages and social distancing.

Now, nine months later and with the country back in lockdown, they've brought us even more brilliant pictures - though this time, their characters might be starting to feel a little fed up.

Grandfather Smed and Grandmother Smoo have had to cancel their trip to Planet Klaboo, the witch from Room on the Broom is suffering from Zoom fatigue, and the characters from A Squash and a Squeeze want to know: 'When will it be over, this viral disease?'

But there are lots of positive signs, too - Tabby McTat is carefully paw-washing, Tiddler is enjoying online lessons with Miss Skate, and the Flying Doctors from Zog are here to give a unicorn, lion and mermaid the vaccine.

The pictures are a great, funny way to help young children understand these strange times and start conversations about what's going on - and adults will enjoy how witty they are, too!

Take a look at all the images in our gallery below:
