Bookspark
Spark a love of reading at Key Stage 3 with this curated pack of books and shared reading resources, specially created to build reading enjoyment and encourage reading for pleasure.
About Bookspark
This pack of 40 books and supporting print and online resources has been developed by BookTrust to help schools create impactful shared reading sessions.
With books for group reading, paired reading and reading aloud, the titles are newly selected each year by our expert panel of school librarians and teachers to represent the best of modern fiction and non-fiction, ensuring there are options for a range of interests and reading levels.
Bookspark includes all the support you’ll need to develop sociable reading experiences, giving all Key Stage 3 students, but particularly reluctant and less engaged readers, the confidence to start and maintain a reading habit.
[Bookspark] engages the students who need the most literacy support in a really effective manner. It’s stimulating them to read and it’s stimulating their desire to read.
