11 brilliant rewilding books 20/03/25
Wild Animals of the North
Publisher: Flying Eye Books
Beginning with Puma and ending with Wolverine, this special book takes us on an animal journey through North America, Europe and Asia, detailing a variety of familiar and less familiar animals in vivid colours and highly stylised design.
Sadly, almost a third of the animals featured in the book are currently endangered, and some are threatened with extinction.
The information accompanying each animal's page or double page spread is minimal, and the pictures are most definitely the stars of this large hardback. They highlight the beauty of our natural world, and also the terrible loss of whole species we face because of humanity's impact on the planet.
This is a very special book that would make an ideal gift for an animal-loving child, any young person interested in animal conservation, or indeed for anyone who would appreciate the book's enchanting artwork.
