The Story Tree: Tales to Read Aloud

Publisher: Barefoot Books

This jolly anthology of folk tales contains seven traditional stories from many parts of the world. 'The Magic Porridge Pot' is an old German favourite from Grimm's Fairy Tales, and 'The Sweetest Song' is an old African American folk tale. There is a Jewish story about a boy without a coat, a Russian story and an Indian tale, as well as the very traditional The Three Billy Goats Gruff and The Little Red Hen.

This charming collection is gloriously illustrated by French artist Sophie Fatus, who graduated from the Academy of Fine Art in Paris in 1980.
