The Princess in Black

Magnolia seems to be the perfect princess. She wears beautiful tiaras, she loves flouncy pink dresses and she owns a unicorn called Frimplepants… but this princess has a massive secret. Whenever her alarm goes off Magnolia swaps her glitzy gowns for an all-black disguise in order to fight monsters and save the kingdom! When the nosey Duchess Wigtower comes for tea and cakes Magnolia has to do all she can to keep her secret identity hidden.

This is a great twist on the traditional princess genre, with a strong female protagonist who crawls through dirty tunnels, battles monsters and protects the land. The colourful illustrations perfectly capture the adventure, action and humour of the book. Sure to be a firm favourite with superhero princesses everywhere.
