Star of the Zoo

Publisher: QED Publishing

Zurcher's first book is illustrated by established artist Daniel Howarth, and published in the QED 'Storytime' series. These are brightly coloured, very accessible stories for the youngest children, which highlight personal and social learning, and show how we can overcome our fears and prejudices.

When Little Star falls out of the sky into the zoo, all the animals think they will be the one who can reach to put her back, and laugh at Ant, who is so small. However Ant is ingenious, and his plan succeeds because ants cooperate with each other. Howarth's illustrations are lively and colourful, accentuating the characters of different animals.

Each title has notes to help adults make the best use of reading with children.
