Serafina and the Black Cloak
Publisher: Farshore
Serafina knows she is strange looking, with her amber eyes, eight toes and movable bones. She lives hidden in the basement of the grand Biltmore Estate with her PA, only coming out at night to clear the house of rats. When children visiting the mansion start disappearing, Serafina witnesses the kidnapping - carried out by a terrifying figure in a black cloak.
Forcing herself out of hiding, she forms an alliance with Braden Vanderbilt, nephew of the estate owners, - and together, they set out to solve the mystery before anyone else vanishes.
This is a book to be devoured in one sitting. It is everything you could want from a novel: fast-paced, incredibly exciting, and filled with amazing characters. Both Serafina and Braden are lonely outcasts, and their delight in finding a like-minded friend is incredibly touching. Overflowing with mystery, magic and adventure. Highly recommended.
