13-year-old Adaq and sister Maya make a slick team of 'lifters', stealing wallets from unsuspecting strangers in order to survive. When Adaq has second thoughts about his life of crime, Maya convinces him to do one last job. But the job is much more dangerous than Adaq realises, and he is soon involved way over his head.
The fact that Lifters was originally conceived by Joe Craig as an idea for a movie is evident in the short but action packed chapters, crammed with snappy dialogue and thrilling twists.
At just 64 pages this title in the Edge series is ideal for children who may lack confidence and stamina around reading.

it was a great book there was just a couple of thing wrong with it, it was too short it was like 45 pages or somtheing so you couldnt really get in to it as much as i useually do and the last few pages made no sence

it was a great book it had lots of twist and turns in it but it was not very long :( so it wasnt that good in places but it was still a good book i liked the bit at the end and that tied it toghther but i think it should of been a bigger book

That book was absolutely phenomenal! I could read this book a million times over. I wish this could become a great hit in the movie business and all i would say is to improve it is create a second series which is a lot longer (for TEENS) I hope you do consider my idea as it would be a great hit in the UK! Thank you.

Lifters manages to cram the excitement of a caper movie into such a small number of pages. It looks to be the start of an adventure that children will want to follow!

its a very good book i wish he made it a bit longer but apart from that is was very action packed
