Jake is suspended from his school for his midnight parkour adventures and he is sent home to Burkina Faso where his father is a senior diplomat. Within days he and his sister, Kas, are kidnapped by 'terrorists', driven off into the desert and threatened with death.
Fortunately, they are rescued by an 'outlaw' of the desert, Yakuuba Sor, a Robin Hood character to his local community. He has been blamed for the kidnapping and needs to clear his name.
Against the backdrop of an African country and its many real issues, Jake and Kas have to figure out who are the real 'terrorists' and where truth and justice lie in this complex and thrilling adventure.
