My Name is Bob
Publisher: Red Fox
Bob the cat once lived with a kind old lady. When she was taken away in an ambulance, Bob tried to follow her, but found himself lost on the city streets. He had nowhere to live and nothing to eat. He was chased by other cats and turned away by people. Soon he was a skinny, grubby street cat.
One day he heard James playing his guitar in the street and he followed him home. That night Bob was attacked and injured by a fierce cat, so he turned to James for help. James gave Bob a new home and now they go everywhere together.
An uplifting, true story, a prequel to the adult bestseller.

This book is an extremely satisfying read and although it is a book of few words ,the beautifully designed pictures tell a story that made me personally feel sad but as you would expect, the ending is happy. A simple plot, made amazing.

This is a beautifully illustrated book that gives a heart-warming insight into a previously stray cat's life. It really touched my heart and myself and my little sisters and younger brother loved it. Many would describe it as a younger child's book, but I myself would say this is for all ages. It is rather sad at times, especially at the beginning when Bob's previous owner, a kind old lady who adores Bob and plays him beautiful music on the piano, dies, but it ends happily, when Bob discov...

If you like a short book with loads of pictures then this is the book. The book theme is an animal theme and it was about a cats journey. I didn't like this book because i found it more for younger children, for me it was boring their was not enough writing in the book for me. I would recommend this book to children who like books with lot's of colorful pictures and who like animals.

I choose this book because I love animals and I think that it is not one of the books that have killing and things like that,I think it is calm and caring just like Holly Webb books which I'm a big fan.If I try this book I might be a big fan of it too

This heart-warming tale of a street cat looking for a home is all the more appealing in that it is based on a true story and written by the busker who rescued him. Accessible and beautifully illustrated, it is a delightful book about the power of friendship, further enhanced by a collection of real photographs of the duo.

A delightful story about loss, struggle but above all friendship. Wonderful to share and talk about, this was a clear favourite with all the pupils (and the adults too!).

I loved this touching story. It has everything you could want in a book. It is beautifully illustrated and perfect for sharing or reading alone and will appeal to all age groups.

My book buzz was enjoyable, funny, exiting and adventurous my favourite part of the book was when the cat tries to follow the old lady to hospital but he cant find the way to the hospital so the cat starts to follow a busker playing a guitar on the street so the cat follows the man all the way around London so the man gives the cat a home.
