My Humongous Hamster

The narrator of this story imagines her hamster getting bigger and bigger until he is as big as King Kong! Still as cute as ever, the humungous hamster nibbles trees and even uses a fairground ride as a running wheel. Perhaps he would be a hero – or maybe he would seem scary? It’s only when she wonders where he might end up going to sleep that she begins to consider what he would miss if he really was humongous.

Combining photography and digital overlay, Lorna Freytag has created a very entertaining ‘what if?’ scenario in this picture book. Full of humour, this fanciful story will encourage children to use their imaginations.
