My Dad
Publisher: Random House
A young boy proudly describes his father (a big, friendly, unshaven dad, sporting an old dressing gown). His dad can jump over the moon, wrestle with giants, swim like a fish - in fact, in the little boy's eyes, he can do almost anything!
Anthony Browne's children's books always offer huge possibilities for letting one's imagination run wild. In this deceptively simple picture book, he has used stunning artwork and simple text to create a touching and humorous celebration of the relationship between father and son.

This book is cool, hilarious and amazing. I would recommend it to children that are 9-11 years old.

I love making fun of my dad, so this is like I am talking to my dad. My dad lives away from us and I live with my mum.

My son finds this book amusing. He lovess when I read the book in a deep voice pretending to be Dad. He will often select this book from his book box and independently look at the pictures and he will use a deep voice to read the book in his own way.

We love this book, especially when daddy does a silly dance at the bit where it says my dad likes to dance. Lovely pictures too.

We really enjoyed reading this story. It was also lovely for my husband to read this to our son. It inspired us to write our own story about George's daddy. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed this story and have read it lots of times already although we only got it a few days ago. It has encouraged us to make up our own story about George's daddy for them to read together. Lovely illustrations and fabulous animal faces on the pages. A really great little tale.
