Tony Mitton has done an excellent job of translating the poetry into English without losing the original Dutch feel. This book can be enjoyed purely for the delightful story it is, or even as a way to introduce young children to the idea of becoming an older sibling.

We love Miffy and this book is no exception... We read this many times in preparation for our latest addition to the family and just as Miffy made gifts for her new sibling so did my little one. A nice relaxed read with rhyming that really helps with the flow of the story.
