I Spot a Rabbit (My Very First Spotters Guide)
Publisher: Nosy Crow
I spot a rabbit. Can you spot some rabbits too? What do rabbits eat? Lift the flap to find out! And can you spot the butterfly on every page?
Created in collaboration with the National Trust, this lovely board book is simple, yet it conveys a lot of information. Featuring rabbits, squirrels, foxes, moles and frogs, alongside other animals, it is an ideal introduction to animals typically found in the UK – often in a local park. Young children will enjoy answering the questions posed on each page (‘what do moles eat?’) by lifting the flaps to find the answers. The bright flowers and busy animals of the gorgeous illustrations give it a spring feel, while the text is large and easy to read, yet doesn’t dominate the pictures. The whole book feels inviting, with clear facts appropriate to toddlers, who might particularly like joining in with the animal noises (‘what does a fox say?’). Each page and flap are sturdy enough to withstand rough handling, too.
Perfect for sharing.
