One day, Frog is sitting on a log, catching flies, when down comes a vulture and eats him up. But then the gorilla eats the vulture, and the tiger eats the gorilla, all the way to the ocean, where the snappy shark makes a meal of everyone. It’s a crazy imaginary food chain!

This pop-up classic from Pienkowski’s 80s heyday showcases his accessible snappy-jaws paper crafting, at a time when not many other artists or publishers had really embraced the genre.

The animal faces are full of humour and anarchic dynamism – a treat to read to little ones.
