Luna Loves Library Day

Publisher: Anderson Press

Every week, Luna looks forward to one special day: the day when she discovers magic among the library shelves with her dad. They discover all sorts of things here – dinosaurs, mummies and unexplained mysteries to monsters and magic.

From the talented poet Joseph Coelho, this charming picture book highlights the wonders of libraries for families and communities. Accompanying the poetic text is gloriously bright and delightful illustrations to bring the magic of the library to life.

What’s especially touching is the inserted book from the library of The Troll Kind and the Mermaid Queen, which Luna dad’s reads to her – a tale of how a father and mother part ways but still deeply care and love for their princess daughter. Whilst the overarching story doesn’t delve into the state of the relationship between Luna’s parents, this subtle glimpse gives a heart-warming reassurance to readers on this subject.
